About Tidehunter Surveyor
Practical offshore survey training, written by someone who does the job
Tidehunter is a knowledge hub for marine and offshore surveyors: ROV inspection, bathymetry, side-scan sonar, sub-bottom profiling, ADCP and the positioning that ties them together. Everything is in English, for the international market.
Who it is for
Trainee surveyors
Start from zero and learn the vocabulary, the equipment and the workflow of an offshore crew.

Understand what the job is, which software is used and how to be ready for the first interview.
How the training teaches
- Explain the why. Every lesson starts from the physics or the geometry, so you can handle new equipment, not only one brand.
- Show it moving. Animations and interactive figures replace pages of text. You change a value and watch the result.
- Practise with data. A study database and worked examples let you repeat what is done offshore, step by step.
Where we are going
Tidehunter exists to connect the people we train with agencies and companies directly, and to build a community of surveyors in every discipline who help each other. We want the Tidehunter name to be recognised for the quality of its training and its material. Agencies and companies can send us their openings; surveyors can join the crew network and the community.
